Reverend Chauncy L. Jordan, Sr. is the youngest son of six children born to Rev. Carl E. Jordan, Sr. and Mrs. Maxine Hughes Jordan on June 20, 1971, in Greenville, Mississippi.
He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized into the Body of Christ at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville in March 1982.
He attended Alcorn State University and Mississippi State University, receiving a degree in Industrial Technology from Mississippi State in December 1994. He has earned a masters in biblical studies degree from the Mississippi Baptist Seminary, and he is currently pursuing the masters in theology at Belhaven University.
He humbly submitted to the call of the ministry of our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2009. He preached his first sermon and was licensed to preach and teach the Gospel Message on December 20, 2009. He was ordained on May 22, 2011, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
On October 1, 2011, he was called to Pastor the Hill of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bolton, Mississippi, the Church whose doors swing on the hinges of Love. He also serves as the General Secretary of the Moderator’s Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
He is married to Lashanda Walls Jordan of Columbus, Mississippi, and to this union of 22 years, they have two children: Chauncy Leon Jordan, II and Joshua Conner Jordan.
